NOTICE: Effective February 6, 2026, all exams must be administered in English as required by the State DMV.
Appointments are required for all written test, road test, and concealed weapons permits, and are only available to Sumter County residents. We are unable to honor appointments scheduled by Non-Sumter County residents.
You are required to arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment. If you arrive 5 or more minutes after your scheduled appointment time, your appointment will be cancelled.
We are currently transitioning to a new appointment scheduling system. If you would like to schedule an appointment for a Non-US Driver License please contact our office at 352-569-6740 or by emailing manager@sumtertaxcollector.com.
